Engine
You’re heading through Waipahu traffic, the maintenance light pops on, and you’re wondering whether this is a routine oil change or something more serious. That’s a common moment for local drivers, especially when the car still seems to be running fine. A lot of people focus on the oil itself and forget the oil filter. […]
Air Conditioning
You know the feeling. Your car has been sitting in the Oahu sun, the seat belt buckle is hot enough to make you jump, and you start the engine hoping for that first blast of cold air. Instead, the vents blow warm. On an island where AC is closer to survival gear than a luxury, […]
Brakes
You’re driving home on H-1 toward Pearl City or Waipahu, and a yellow light pops on. It says ABS, and your stomach drops a little. Take a breath. In most cases, the ABS light does not mean your car suddenly has no brakes. It means there is a fault in the anti-lock braking system, so […]
Tips
Hawaii is hard on vehicles in its own way. Salt air works on metal and electrical connections. Heat and humidity wear down fluids, rubber, and batteries. Stop-and-go H-1 traffic and short trips around Oahu mean many cars never get the steady driving that is easier on parts. A generic checklist gets the basics right, but […]
Engine
You’re creeping along H-1, the A/C is on, the sun is cooking the dash, and then you notice the temperature gauge climbing. That moment gets your attention fast. If you’ve been asking “why is my car overheating?”, the short answer is simple: your engine is getting hotter than the cooling system can handle. Overheating isn’t […]
Engine
Gas prices in Hawaii sting, especially when you drive an older BMW, Mercedes, Ford, Chevy, or Jeep that still runs well but burns more fuel than you’d like. The good news is that better gas mileage rarely takes an expensive upgrade. Small maintenance fixes and smarter driving habits do most of the work. If you […]
Air Conditioning
You leave work in Pearl City, the car has been baking in the sun, and the AC is the first thing you reach for. In Hawaii, that system gets almost no downtime. For most drivers here, annual professional AC service is the right baseline. If you drive daily, sit in traffic often, or park near […]
Tips
If you’re watching your registration date and wondering whether your car will pass the safety check Hawaii requires, you’re not alone. Burned-out bulbs, worn tires, and dashboard warning lights turn what could be a quick errand into a much bigger headache — especially on Oahu, where salt air, humidity, and stop-and-go traffic accelerate wear on […]
Engine
You come back to your car after shopping or a beach stop and notice a puddle under the front end. Maybe it’s green, pink, or orange. If you’re on Oahu, the concern hits fast. Between heat, traffic, salt air, and hills, cooling system problems can quietly build until the engine starts running hot. The good […]

If you’re keeping the wheel slightly turned just to stay in your lane, you’re not imagining it. A car that drifts left or right is a real mechanical issue that affects control, tire wear, and safety. Some causes are simple. What matters is not putting off the diagnosis. Why Car Pulling Is More Than Just […]

Great experience. I brought my Prius in for a diagnostic on a dash board error light. Plus I knew that the rear bearings needed to be replaced. Their attentive behavior was immediate as I scheduled my Monday morning shop visit and the owner responded on a Sunday to schedule. Even though there was a diagnostic fee the amount was applied to the repair. In and out in the time committed on the estimate. Clean, very clean facilities from to the waiting room and throughout the shop. I will continue to use them for future Maintinance and repair’s.

I recently had my Honda serviced at Top Level Cars, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and professional. They took the time to listen to my concerns and provided a detailed explanation of the necessary repairs. The quality of the work was outstanding. My Honda now runs smoother than ever, and I have complete confidence in the repairs they performed. The technicians clearly know their craft, and their attention to detail was evident in the final result. What stood out the most was the transparency throughout the entire process. I was kept informed of the progress and costs at every step, ensuring there were no surprises when it came time to settle the bill. The prices were fair and competitive, especially considering the high level of service provided. Overall, Top Level Cars exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of reliable and trustworthy auto service. I will definitely be returning for all my future car maintenance and repair needs.

First impressions: EXCELLENT! We have a Mercedes ML430 that needs some work on. Nick responded immediately and gave us a fair price, the best one we could find on the island. After checking, he recommended only one of the four repairs that others pushed for, and even that with no hurry whatsoever. In fact we felt so well treated by him that we didn’t mind doing his recommended work on our first visit, because we want the good service at TopLevel Cars recognized and paid for. We will definitely return!
