Oil Change
Of all the warning lights on your dashboard, the red oil can gives you the least time to think. A check engine light can sometimes wait a day or two. This one can’t, because an engine running without proper oil pressure can suffer serious, permanent damage within minutes, often before you’ve covered more than a […]
Brakes
Few car noises are as embarrassing as a brake squeal. It’s loud, it turns heads in a quiet parking lot, and it seems to tell everyone nearby that something is wrong with your car. Very often, though, the message is far less dramatic. Island humidity, a bit of brake dust, or a dry clip can […]
Engine
You’re backing out of the driveway in Waipahu, the trades are blowing, and you catch a cloud drifting from your tailpipe in the rearview mirror. Your stomach drops a little. Is this the beginning of an expensive problem, or is it the same harmless puff your car makes every cool morning? The honest answer is […]
Tips
You pull into your driveway in Waipahu, step out of the car, and catch that unmistakable gasoline smell. You crouch down, check under the vehicle, and… nothing. No puddle, no drips, no wet spot on the warm pavement. It’s one of the most common things our customers call about, and it’s genuinely confusing: how can […]
Suspension & Steering
Somewhere along Kamehameha Highway, on the way to the North Shore, you notice it: a low hum that wasn’t there last month. It grows louder as you pick up speed past Wahiawa, fades a little when the road bends one way, and comes back stronger when it bends the other. Most drivers turn up the […]
Tips
You’re cruising down the H-1 after a beach day in Ewa, salt air still on your skin, when a small red or orange icon of a seated passenger with a circle in front of them lights up on your dash and stays there. Many drivers shrug it off as something minor, like a low washer-fluid […]
Oil Change
You’re at the counter, the tech asks whether you want conventional, synthetic blend, or full synthetic, and suddenly a routine oil change feels like a pop quiz you didn’t study for. The price of the priciest option can easily be double that of the cheapest, so it’s fair to wonder what the extra money actually […]
Suspension & Steering
You pull out of your spot at the Waipahu Safeway, crank the wheel, and it fights back like you’re wrestling a canoe paddle. Maybe there’s a groan, maybe just dead weight in your arms. Most drivers shrug it off for weeks, and that’s usually when a cheap fix turns into an expensive one. A steering […]
Brakes
You are crawling down the H-1 toward Pearl City in bumper-to-bumper traffic, foot resting on the brake, when you notice a high-pitched squeal every time you slow down. The pedal takes more effort than usual, and the car seems to coast a little too far before it stops. Most drivers shrug it off as “old […]
Tips
It usually happens at the worst possible moment: westbound on the H-1 at 4:30 p.m., cars packed bumper to bumper, and suddenly the steering feels heavy, the temperature needle climbs, or the engine simply quits. Your instinct says stop right now. Acting on that instinct in a live traffic lane is how a mechanical problem […]

Great experience. I brought my Prius in for a diagnostic on a dash board error light. Plus I knew that the rear bearings needed to be replaced. Their attentive behavior was immediate as I scheduled my Monday morning shop visit and the owner responded on a Sunday to schedule. Even though there was a diagnostic fee the amount was applied to the repair. In and out in the time committed on the estimate. Clean, very clean facilities from to the waiting room and throughout the shop. I will continue to use them for future Maintinance and repair’s.

My Honda now runs smoother than ever, and I have complete confidence in the repairs they performed. The technicians clearly know their craft, and their attention to detail was evident in the final result. What stood out the most was the transparency throughout the entire process. First impressions: EXCELLENT! We have a Mercedes ML430 that needs some work on. Nick responded immediately and gave us a fair price, the best one we could find on the island. After checking, he recommended only one of the four repairs that others pushed for, and even that with no hurry whatsoever. In fact we felt so well treated by him that we didn’t mind doing his recommended work on our first visit, because we want the good service at TopLevel Cars recognized and paid for. We will definitely return!
