Tips
You pull into your driveway in Waipahu, step out of the car, and catch that unmistakable gasoline smell. You crouch down, check under the vehicle, and… nothing. No puddle, no drips, no wet spot on the warm pavement. It’s one of the most common things our customers call about, and it’s genuinely confusing: how can […]
Tips
You’re cruising down the H-1 after a beach day in Ewa, salt air still on your skin, when a small red or orange icon of a seated passenger with a circle in front of them lights up on your dash and stays there. Many drivers shrug it off as something minor, like a low washer-fluid […]
Tips
It usually happens at the worst possible moment: westbound on the H-1 at 4:30 p.m., cars packed bumper to bumper, and suddenly the steering feels heavy, the temperature needle climbs, or the engine simply quits. Your instinct says stop right now. Acting on that instinct in a live traffic lane is how a mechanical problem […]
Tips
We put cars on a lift in Waipahu every working day, so we get to see the same story on repeat. A driver comes in for a routine brake job and the pads turn out to be fine. The real problem is a steel brake line so pitted that it weeps fluid every time the […]
Tips
Picture this: your Audi flashes a check-engine light on the H-1 near Waipahu, the dealer quotes you a rate that makes your stomach drop, and their earliest appointment is three weeks away. That single moment is where thousands of Oahu owners of European cars start asking a fair question: is the dealership really the only […]
Tips
It’s 7 a.m., you’re already running late for the drive into town, and your car answers the key with a single stubborn click. That gut-drop moment happens to Oahu drivers more than you’d think, and the reason usually isn’t bad luck. The island’s climate is its own animal: warm and humid year-round, with salt riding […]
Tips
You usually hear it first. A soft clunk on the way home through Pearl City when you hit the dip by the on-ramp, gone by the time you park in Waipahu. The car drives fine, so you tell yourself you will deal with it later. A week passes. The clunk picks up a friend, a […]
Tips
You’re driving home on H-1 after a long day. Traffic is moving, the A/C is finally winning against the heat, and then that little orange light pops on. Is it serious? Can you keep driving? Is this going to turn into a big repair bill? That feeling is normal. Most drivers on Oahu have been […]
Tips
Hawaii is hard on vehicles in its own way. Salt air works on metal and electrical connections. Heat and humidity wear down fluids, rubber, and batteries. Stop-and-go H-1 traffic and short trips around Oahu mean many cars never get the steady driving that is easier on parts. A generic checklist gets the basics right, but […]

Gas prices in Hawaii sting, especially when you drive an older BMW, Mercedes, Ford, Chevy, or Jeep that still runs well but burns more fuel than you’d like. The good news is that better gas mileage rarely takes an expensive upgrade. Small maintenance fixes and smarter driving habits do most of the work. If you […]

Great experience. I brought my Prius in for a diagnostic on a dash board error light. Plus I knew that the rear bearings needed to be replaced. Their attentive behavior was immediate as I scheduled my Monday morning shop visit and the owner responded on a Sunday to schedule. Even though there was a diagnostic fee the amount was applied to the repair. In and out in the time committed on the estimate. Clean, very clean facilities from to the waiting room and throughout the shop. I will continue to use them for future Maintinance and repair’s.

I recently had my Honda serviced at Top Level Cars, and I couldn't be more pleased with the experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff was incredibly welcoming and professional. They took the time to listen to my concerns and provided a detailed explanation of the necessary repairs. The quality of the work was outstanding. My Honda now runs smoother than ever, and I have complete confidence in the repairs they performed. The technicians clearly know their craft, and their attention to detail was evident in the final result. What stood out the most was the transparency throughout the entire process. I was kept informed of the progress and costs at every step, ensuring there were no surprises when it came time to settle the bill. The prices were fair and competitive, especially considering the high level of service provided. Overall, Top Level Cars exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend them to anyone in need of reliable and trustworthy auto service. I will definitely be returning for all my future car maintenance and repair needs.

First impressions: EXCELLENT! We have a Mercedes ML430 that needs some work on. Nick responded immediately and gave us a fair price, the best one we could find on the island. After checking, he recommended only one of the four repairs that others pushed for, and even that with no hurry whatsoever. In fact we felt so well treated by him that we didn’t mind doing his recommended work on our first visit, because we want the good service at TopLevel Cars recognized and paid for. We will definitely return!

He is super knowledgeable and was patient when explaining the work my car needed. I will 100% be bringing my car back for any future services.
